Cobalt A36 | Twin Volvo V8 430 HP | 98 Hours | Joystick | Generator | Dual Garmin 8616

Premium Performance, Sophisticated Comfort & Only 98 Hours

The Cobalt A36 delivers a combination that is increasingly difficult to find in a sport boat: serious performance, luxury-level accommodations, overnight capability, and the maneuverability to make a 36-foot boat comfortable around the dock.

This A36 stands out with the upgraded twin Volvo Penta V8 6.2-liter 430 HP engines, producing a combined 860 HP, paired with Volvo DPS Duoprop sterndrives and joystick control. With only 98 hours, this is an especially attractive configuration for the buyer who wants the performance Cobalt intended for its flagship sport boat without giving up easy handling.

The helm brings everything together with a modern digital Glass Cockpit system and dual Garmin 8616 multifunction displays, providing engine information and navigation directly in front of the operator. Add radar, joystick control, electric SureShade, air conditioning, a 6.5 kW generator, and KVH Coastal TV, and this A36 is equipped for far more than an afternoon cruise.

This boat was freshwater use and was lift-stored under cover until summer 2024. She is now bottom painted in white and is being offered by her second owner.

The starboard engine was rebuilt using a Volvo remanufactured long block and carries warranty coverage until May 3, 2028, or 480 hours, whichever occurs first. The engines also utilize a closed-loop internal freshwater cooling system, helping isolate the internal engine cooling passages from direct saltwater circulation and have been professionally serviced.

Ideal For

• Buyers looking for a premium sport boat with substantial V8 power and joystick maneuverability
• Families who want day-boating space combined with an air-conditioned cabin and overnight capability
• Owners moving into a larger boat who still want responsive, sporty handling
• Entertainers who will appreciate the spacious cockpit

Premium Features & Benefits

860 HP of Volvo V8 Performance

At the heart of this A36 are twin Volvo Penta 6.2-liter V8 engines rated at 430 HP each. Combined with Volvo DPS Duoprop sterndrives, this upgraded package gives the A36 the substantial power expected from Cobalt's premium sport-boat platform.

Volvo Joystick Control

Joystick control takes much of the stress out of maneuvering a 36-foot boat in tight quarters. Whether working into a slip, approaching a fuel dock, or positioning the boat around a marina, the system provides intuitive low-speed control.

Dual Garmin 8616 Glass Cockpit

The helm combines Volvo's digital engine information with two Garmin 8616 multifunction displays, creating a clean, contemporary command center. The electronics package also includes radar, adding another valuable tool for navigation and situational awareness.

Generator & Air-Conditioned Comfort

A 6.5 kW generator expands the way this A36 can be enjoyed away from the dock, while onboard air conditioning adds another level of comfort when spending extended time aboard.

The A36 differs from the A36 BR with a shallower bow area and additional cabin headroom, making the interior an important part of the boat's overall versatility rather than simply an occasional escape from the weather.

Outdoor Living & Entertainment

The A36 was designed around entertaining on the water, and this boat adds several desirable options to make that space even more useful.

The electric SureShade provides convenient cockpit shade when wanted, while KVH Coastal TV adds another entertainment option aboard.
