Marine Service Advisor

Position Summary

This role is responsible to satisfy client’s needs for Service. Our candidate will thrive in being both a dealership and a customer advocate by carefully choosing thoughts, actions, and tools that build a positive, lasting relationship.

 

Education & Experience:

  • To perform this job successfully you’ll have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, computer literacy, and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Marine or Automotive related experience encouraged
  • Customer Service experience
  • Fluent with Computer Systems

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct business in a respectful, professional, and ethical manner always.
  • Communicate professionally with Internal and External Customers as appropriate.
  • Proactively seek ways to improve profitability and grow the Strong’s Yacht Center service and sales business.
  • Nurture positive and productive working relationships with Customers and Team members.
  • Follow workflow processes and make recommendations for improvement where appropriate.
  • Using 5S methodology maintain safe, properly equipped, and well-organized work environment.
  • Seek out and implement ongoing improvements listening carefully using Teamwork principles.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information where appropriate.

 

Job Specific Duties

  • Promptly respond to Customer requests for service performing walk-arounds whenever possible.
  • Proactively develop, deliver and follow-up quotes for service based on Technical Evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate pricing for service work performed.
  • Maintain accurate promise dates based on Customer needs and supplier/shop capacity.
  • Initiate and track work orders to completion while maintaining communication with Customer.
  • Enable work order finalization within 48 hours of completion.
  • Engage Sub-Contractors to determine quality, price, and delivery.
  • Select solutions and products best suited to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Develop significant expertise as a resource to our salespeople.
  • Reports to the Service Manager; collaborates with our Technicians.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

 

Schedule: 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday & Weekends as needed

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Marine Inventory Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our online boat listings platform. You will ensure that all listings are accurate, comprehensive, and engaging to attract potential buyers. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for the marine industry.

  • Manage and update listings of boats for sale on our online platforms
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of listing information, including specifications, pricing, photos/video and creative descriptions.
  • Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to optimize listing performance and visibility.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing online listings or e-commerce platforms is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of the marine industry and knowledge of boat types and specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with CRM software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
